CIM-211 Abstracting Principles and Practice I

This course introduces the principles of cancer registry abstracting. Emphasis is placed on identification and selection of appropriate clincial information from medical records in a manner consistent with cancer registry regulatory requirements. Upon completion, students should be able to record, code and stage site-specific cancer information using manual and computerized applications. Semester Offered: Fall
