Nurse Aide Certificate (High School Career and College Promise (CCP))

The Nurse Aide curriculum prepares individuals to work under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals in performing nursing care and services for persons of all ages. They may be employed in home health agencies, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, extended care facilities, and doctors’ offices.

Upon successful completion of all courses in this CCP pathway, the student will be awarded a Certificate in Nurse Aide from DCCC. After completing NAS 101 , the student will be eligible to take the Nurse Aide I state test for listing as an NAI on the Nurse Aide Registry (additional cost). After successful completion of NAS 106  and current listing as a Nurse Aide I, students will be eligible for listing as a Geriatric Aide on the NC Nurse Aide Registry.
