Associate in Arts, A.A.

The Associate in Arts (A.A.) program is included in the agreement between North Carolina’s community colleges and its four-year colleges and universities. It is designed to provide students with an opportunity to take the first two years of a four-year program in many majors.

Upon successful completion of the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science or Associate in General Education, the student should be able to:

  1. Communicate effectively.
  2. Think critically.
  3. Demonstrate information literacy.
  4. Demonstrate interdependence.

*NOTE: Take one life (BIO) and one physical (CHM or PHY) science

First Semester

Choose One Social/Behavioral Science Courses From Below For First Semester

Choose One Humanities/Fine Arts Course From Below For First Semester

Second Semester

Choose One Social/Behavioral Science Course from Below For Second Semester (Must Have Different Prefixes)

Choose One Humanities/Fine Arts Course From Below For Second Semester

Third Semester

Choose One English Course From Below For Third Semester

Choose One Social/Behavioral Science Courses From Below For Third Semester

Fourth Semester

Choose one Physical Science course from below for Fourth Semester
