The Human Services Technology certificate is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in institutions and agencies which provide social, community, and educational services.
Upon successful completion of all courses in this CCP pathway, the student will be awarded a Certificate in Human Services Technology from Davidson-Davie. Once students complete the certificate they can continue their coursework towards a diploma or associate degree.
Graduates of the A.A.S. program should qualify for positions in mental health, child care, family services, social services, rehabilitation, correction, and educational agencies.

Progression Requirements
A student must earn a grade of “C” or better in all HSE, PSY, ENG, CIS, and SAB prefix courses in order to progress in the program.
NOTE: Special legal requirements exist which may limit the ability of an individual to obtain clinical experience, employment, or certification in the Human Services field. Prospective students should obtain additional information from a College counselor or program faculty member prior to seeking admission.
Technical Standards
In addition to Davidson-Davie requirements and course objectives, there are professional standards that encompass communication, motor skills, sensory and cognitive ability and professional conduct that are essential for the competent study and practice of human services.
