The Human Services Certificate: Emphasis in Mental Health is designed to assist students with additional skills and knowledge to help persons suffering from mental health disorders. It is designed to enhance the overall Human Services A.A. S. degree program making sure students who plan to work with those who suffer from mental health disorders have a foundational competence when working with individuals, families, and communities impacted by mental health issues. The Human Services Certificate: Emphasis in Mental Health can be taken independently to enhance overall foundational skills in the field.

Technical Standards
In addition to Davidson-Davie requirements and course objectives, there are professional standards that encompass communication, motor skills, sensory and cognitive ability and professional conduct that are essential for the competent study and practice of this program.
