MAT-152 Statistical Methods I (CAA)

This course provides a project-based approach to introductory statistics with an emphasis on using real-world data and statistical literacy. Topics include descriptive statistics, correlation and regression, basic probability, discrete and continuous probability distributions, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. Upon completion, students should be able to use appropriate technology to describe important characteristics of a data set, draw inferences about a population from sample data, and interpret and communicate results. Take one group: DMA-010, DMA-020, DMA-030, DMA-040, DMA-050, & DRE-098; MAT 003 & ENG 002 ; BSP 4003 & BSP 4002 ; MAT 025 & ENG 025 ; or MAT 7025 & ENG 8025 (Required, Previous).
Take one group: MAT 043 ; MAT 052 ; MAT 003 - Minimum grade P2; BSP 4003 - Minimum grade P2; MAT 045 - Minimum grade C; or MAT 7045 - Minimum grade C; (Required, Previous or Concurrent).
